The AUSTRONG team held their 3rd face to face meeting by teleconference in July 2022.
The 6 alloys were successfully hot rolled to slab dimensions in the pilot rolling mill.
Lab scale hot deformation experiments were completed to characterise the 6 alloys performance at high temperatures.
The consortium discussed more detailed multi-pass thermal and deformation cycles to be performed on lab scale equipment.
Other tests were planned i.e. uniaxial hot compression tests to fully characterise the alloys high temperature deformation behaviour.
