The AUSTRONG consortium held their 7th face to face meeting at TUBAF in Freiberg, Germany on 2nd July 2024.

TUBAF prepared specimens for hot torsion testing of the final 3 alloys. High resolution EBSD was used to map the deformation in the microstructures.

UOULU performed TEM analysis to study the microstructure of the final 3 alloys at the nano scale.

CSM performed fatigue testing on the plate material to establish the fatigue strength of the final three alloys. Life cycle costs and CO2 emissions were also estimated.
